SAY IT LIKE IT IS: Irreverent sayings on TV shirts are at its zenith. It seemed like this trend for wearing your inner thoughts on your outerwear was just too hot to continue, but it just ain’t so. Even Jennifer Aniston was recently photographed wearing a T-shirt and knit pants with a Buddhist philosophical saying. (Hatters should not miss up spiritual sayings….I’ve been preaching this song for years). One company at the Magic show had a T-shirt that said, “I would do Me.” If you don’t know what that means, you’re probably too old for the shirt. As I said before, my ball caps with funny sayings elicited favorable comments from strangers everywhere I went. People asked me where they could buy them. Unfortunately they were never mass produced.

So, now is the time to challenge your brain and come up with irreverent honest, yet catchy words for Caps and Hats. We saw a European men’s sportswear company doing this with blazers. Words were written vertically down the front of a silk blazer at Apricot Tree menswear.

VINTAGE VIXEN CREATES SOMETHING NEW OUT OF THE OLD: We met Donna Mcquillen at the Magic show and were impressed with her design talent of taking vintage fabrics and re-designing them to make novelty sportswear, dresses and accessories. Her Western apparel is wonderful, and her one-of-a-kind fashions with Vintage heritage are perfect for today’s jaded consumers. She was visiting Rockmount Apparel (makers of authentic Western shirts) at the Magic Show when we snapped her mug shot. Perhaps Mcquillen has an idea for you! 512-320-0666.

Why not Vintage headwear?
