HAIL CAESAR:
COUNTING CARBS and CALORIES AT CAFÉ LAGO
IN CAESARS PALACE HOTEL IN LAS VEGAS.
It may seem odd,
but we had a hard time finding fresh American
food in Las Vegas. This being America in all I
figured it would be easy, but I was wrong. Let’s
just say that the Baked Potato is so un- hip that
no one makes them anymore. So we tried the MGM
Grand seafood restaurant SeaBlue and were not
impressed, so we headed over to Caesars Palace
and found that true American classics like turkey,
lamb, prime rib, mashed potatoes, vegetables,
lobster bisque soup, shrimp, stone crab etc. were
in abundance. For a mere $22 you can eat like
the sun won’t shine again. Dessert, soft
drinks and ice cream are part of the package,
so I deem this un-hip hangout a real find for
us down home American folks who still like the
food of our forefathers. Sometimes it seems like
exotic food from distant lands is as hip as an
urban record label. As for me, I’ll take
mashed potatoes.
Café Lago
also serves breakfast, lunch buffets as well as
an a la carte menu.
Caesars Palace Café
Lago also has live piano music.
